Fishing Reel Applications include the Tetra Reel Oil formula, which is recommended for use both during in-season re-lubrication and post- and pre-season maintenance for maximum reel performance. The Tetra Reel grease is a higher viscosity lubricant that is also perfect for pre- or post-season tear down, and for the major lubrication of all parts. Of course, follow your individual reel brand manufacturer's maintenance recommendations. Reel repair technicians also have that front line expertise to advise on what to use beyond what you enlist them for. Reel Saver Cleaner is a gentle water-based cleaner degreaser that has no fumes and won't burn your skin. It is also buffered with a rust inhibitor to prevent rust and saltwater corrosion between using it and applying lubricant protectant. The worm gear and main shaft should take grease, while fast moving parts like handle joints and other interior components and any rotating mechanisms. Of course, don't over-lubricate, and remove excess reel lube whenever possible.

Tetra Reel Line Treatment This is a unique lubricant formulation that has been tested and proven to treat fishing line and rod surfaces with added lubricity to enhance the ease by which line can roll off the spool while not clinging to the body of line. For monofilant and PE / fluorocarbon line material, it will help minimize resistance to help you improve casting distance. And for braided line, just a little polished on guides will help as well. Like other line lubes, this will also contribute to preventing bird's nests and other functional issues. Spray on the spool, or better yet, run the line thru a line lube treated cloth.
